Shofar Factory
CJCC - Chabad of Cyprus held a special Shofar factory in order to introduce our children to the Rosh Hashana spirit.
2 specialist on the area came from Israel and promoted the most amazing adventure for the Kids in which, by the end of the day, each one toke home his own Shofar made by himself!
There was as well an interactive explanation about how the Honey is produced. The kids made their own honey pot for Rosh Hashana.

Apothikes Hall - Heart of Larnaca Old Town
Rosh Hashanah 2008 in Cyprus was a different experience for the entire community.
Held at Apothikes Hall situated at the heart of Larnaca Old Town, the event was a tremendous success, with over than 200 people from the community and tourists attending.
Even thou pictures are not allowed on Rosh Hashanah, our photographer Meir Alfasi worked hard a few minutes before the Holiday came in and registered everything on his camera.
That's definetely a great begginning for a Happy & Sweet 5769!

With no doubt one of the happiest Holidays in the Jewish Calendar, Sukkot always gives a special sensation to all of us, specially when treating on Sukkot in Cyprus.
Around the 7 days of Sukkot hundrends of guests pass by Chabad's giant Sukkah in Larnaca.
As well, a Sukkah-Mobile is built every year in order to reach those who are not able to come to join the Community at the Jewish Centre.
The apex of the "Simcha" happens on Simchat Beit Hashoeva Celebration.
Live music, dancing, Kids Programmes including a juggler, trampolines, BBQ and much L'chaim & brotherhood.
And of course, all this at "Chabad's Sukkah"

As every year, the children of the Cyprus Jewish Community have experienced a unique and amazing activity, the Matzah Bakery.
Part of the educational program for our children, the Matzah Bakery is a small projection of the Matzah Shmurah production line since its very beginning.
The kids have the opportunity to “transform the wheat into flour”, to prepare the Matzot and even to bake it.
And the most amazing experience is to see the kids going home by the end of the day, with their own Matzah in hands, a big smile stamped on the face, and one more step towards a happy Jewish life in their hearts.

Friends of Chabad of Cyprus got together last Saturday night (05.01.08) in the halls of Beit Hachayal in Tel Aviv for the annual reunion of Friends of Chabad of Cyprus. The event was a big success and we hope to have more such events in the future.
