Tu B'Shevat was marked this year here at Chabad of Cyprus with a beautiful celebration. Trees were planted, fresh, exotic fruits were eaten and all the community welcomed the beginning of a New Year for Trees with great happiness.
Official Chanukah Candle Lighting took place on Monday 6th December 2010.

Chanukah 2010 Candle Lighting Ceremony
Every year Chabad of Cyprus organizes a special Chanukah reception for the local Cypriot dignitaries, diplomats and other respectable guests.
The crowd was invited to take part at the communal Menorah lighting by the Chief Rabbi - Rabbi Arie Zeev Raskin.
A replica of the Jerusalem Holy Temple's golden Menorah was manufactured specially for this event.
Speeches were delivered by the Chief Rabbi, by the Ambassador of Israel and by Mr. Christofides during the ceremony
