Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson, of righteous memory, was the daughter of the sixth Lubavitcher rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, of righteous memory, and wife of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory. The Rebbetzin’s influence on the Lubavitch movement was enormous, but she deliberately remained outside of the limelight.

It never says how or why the Rebbetzin passed.
Why do you ask why? What Is It tò you?
Yes it does she had an illness and kept it from her husband cuz she didn’t want him to worry.
There is nothing wrong with asking about how someone passed away. It is human curiosity. I too like to know how someone passed and it is up to the loved one's family to divulge that information or not.
