Shabbat in Cyprus
Our synagogue is open to all, regardless of affiliation, knowledge of Hebrew and level of commintment.
The Cyprus Jewish Community Centre, CJCC, holds weekly Shabbat services and Shabbat meals on both Friday night and Shabbat day. Unless otherwise stated the services will be held at Apollodorou 4, 6020 Larnaca.
Tefillah - Services
Erev Shabbat
Shabbat candles: lighting the candles (for women) - at the beginning of Shabbat, in Chabad center.
Kabbalat Shabbat: the prayer (for men and women) - begins 15 minute after candles lighting (see candle lighting times). The prayer takes place in the synagogue.
Shabbat night meal: After the Shabbat reception prayer, the main meal is held in the event hall of the Chabad center. The meal opens with the singing of Shalom Aleichem and after Kiddush, Shabbat chants are sung over the meal in a homely atmosphere.

Torah class, coffee and cake begins at 09:00am “Chassidic insights into Prayer”
Shacharit / Mussaf begins at 10:00am
Mincha follows Shabbat lunch
